Bakery Bits | Brand Identity & Packaging

The Opportunity

Shopping local has swept the aisles by storm. In line with this trend, Unilever partnered with Dan, a Melbourne artist, baker, and entrepreneur, to bring all-natural dog treats to market together. The target audience for these treats are cost-conscious Australians who have forsaken the corporate grind in favor of open road adventures…. Think daily surf sessions and living out of a VW van.

Proposed Solution

Bakery Bits, a simple, no frills brand leverages the personal history of its entrepreneur as a baker, targeting a quirky audience who just might want to eat the same treats they feed to their dog. The clean blue and white color palette is designed to harken back to the more traditional origins of baking (i.e. France) with additional accents for each flavor profile. The bold type was chosen to stand out on the shelf, but not be an eyesore in small living quarters. Treats so good, owner and pup can share!
